Monaghan Chamber of Commerce

About the chamber

Monaghan Chamber of Commerce was re-established in February 2009, due to the volume of traders in Monaghan
Town who felt it was time to re-ignite the enthusiasm in our bustling, market, border town.

A committee was elected to oversee this goal. They are as follows;

 

President: Gordon Fleming
Chairperson: Peter Ronaghan
Secretary: Emily McQuaid
Treasurer: Thomas Neeson
Public relations officer: Anne Watterson

 

Together with a 28 strong committee we established our common goals and through that developed our mission statement, as follows;

 

Monaghan Chamber of Commerce will be the voice of business for our town striving to serve its members
and our community in the ever-changing economic climate.

 

To guide in the accomplishment of this mission, five basic objectives have been established as the basis for
programming and policy decisions of the organization.

Tourism & Events

Finance & Funding

Education, Training & Development

Planning, Infrastructure & Industry

 

We strive continuously to meet these objectives and hope that we can make a positive impact on the future of
Monaghan Town.
