There are a host of acitivites to experience in Monaghan. The Garage Theatre will entertain you with a range of productions from plays to ballet. The Market House is home to a range of exhibitions through out the year. In September you can take part in the Monaghan Harvest Blues Festival.
If activites are your thing then you can take in a spot of golf at Rossmore Golf Club or pitch n putt. If you prefer walking then the Monaghan Way would be right up your street. Monaghan Way is a signed walk way running down through the County.
Alternatively, you can take in the Wildlife Centre, home to an array of wildlife and vintage farm equipment, or stroll around Monaghan Museum and reflect on local history.
No mention of Monaghan Town would be complete without encouraging you to come to Monaghan to fish. Monaghan Town is an ideal anchor for accessing all the local lakes in north Monaghan.
For those who like some retail therapy there are a wide range of shops including large brand names and exclusive boutiques. For the weary there are a number of spa and leisure facilities where you can be pampered.
To relax in the evening there is a choice of restaurants in the town to suit all budgets and a lively pub scence with many venues offering live music.
