Welcome to the new Monaghan Town website. Monaghan Town is located in North County Monaghan and has a population of 5,000. The town is surrounded by Drumlin hinterland made famous by the poet Patrick Kavanagh. Monaghan Town has a vibrant night life and is renowned for its restaurants.

The town is situated on the N2 Route and is serviced by 2 fibre optical rings. Local industries include timberframe manufacturing and forklift development and an IDA site is situated to the north of the town, with 2 IT incubator buildings with a total of 40,000 sq foot of space.

Monaghan Town is an ideal base for visitors with lots of local attractions, quality hotels and within driving distance of Northern Ireland.
